Explores the burdens posed by the need to schedule multiple shifts that evenly distribute nursing experience and skills. It is argued that the popular "cyclical scheduling" method views distributive justice and equality in overly simplistic terms: numbers of resources. In this light, it is contended that a more sophisticated understanding of distributive justice and equality can increase broader quality-of-life considerations and thus increase nurse job satisfaction.
